For the first time this season every one of the Nationwide Tour's 50 leading money winners will be in the field this week for the Albertsons Boise Open presented by Kraft. With Hillcrest Country Club as the host, the only 2008 tournament winner not playing is No. 52 on the money list Robert Damron, who has been sidelined due to shoulder surgery since August.

Michael Putnam fired a 6-under-par 65 Thursday to take the first-round lead in the $725,000 Alberstons Boise Open, the 25th stop on the 2008 Nationwide Tour schedule.

Putnam put together a bogey-free effort at Hillcrest Country Club and leads Garrett Willis, Arjun Atwal, Bill Lunde, Jon Turcott, Matt Bettencourt and Monday qualifier Kurt Barnes by one stroke. Two-time winner Scott Piercy heads a list of 12 players at 4-under 67, two back.

Turcott and Barnes both had a share of the lead, but each bogeyed the uphill, 399-yard 18th hole to drop one behind Putnam, who was in the first group off the 10th tee in the morning.

Putnam, a native of Tacoma, Wash., admitted it's nice that the 30-event Tour is finally out of the eastern time zone.

Bill Lunde got into a bit of a rut during Friday's second round of the Albertsons Boise Open. It turned out to be a pretty good rut, too. Lunde ran off a half-dozen par-par-birdie streaks at Hillcrest Country Club, finishing with a 6-under 65 and sole possession of first place in the Nationwide Tour's $725,000 event.

Bill Lunde continues to defy the odds at the Albertsons Boise Open. The 32-year-old keeps missing fairway after fairway at the Hillcrest Country Club, but nonetheless owns a share of the 54-hole lead.

Lunde, the second-round leader, posted a 2-under 69 Saturday to finish at 13-under 200 and tied with Chris Tidland, who joined the hunt with a 5-under 66.

Call it an early birthday present. Two weeks shy of turning 36, Chris Tidland finally stepped into the winner's circle. Tidland fired a final-round 64 Sunday to win the $725,000 Albertsons Boise Open by four shots over hard-charging Scott Piercy, who tied the Hillcrest Country Club course record with a 10-under-par 61.
