On the 30th, we went to a wedding and were out until 3 AM. The bride and groom were a Haitian couple my wife works with at the U. Miami Medical School, and believe me when I tell you the Haitian crowd knows how to party!
NYE, I worked because we had a party for about 120 people at the synagogue. To be honest, it was a dud, but I was with a couple good friends, so the 6 of us, (with our wives), sat together and just yacked between decent dance numbers. We had a balloon net and my official duty was to pull the cord at midnight. Fortunately, it worked...
This was such an old crowd that by 12:45 AM, there were 10 of us left. We tolf the DJ to pack up early and go. My friends stayed to help me and my maintenance crew clean up and we were home by 2 AM.
Here's what the net looked like until I pulled it...
