Depends on what you want on your mp3 player..if you just want to listen to music, dont get an iPod. get a simple mp3 player or what dang has. its usually cheaper, but if you want to be "cool" like everyone else. Just get a nano, cause honestly, do you guys listen to ALL your 20 gig 50,000 song iPod.

I have to agree with JTingly here. I don't understand how ANYONE could lilsten to 50k songs in a short enough period of time to make it impossible to live without them all on one little iPod. I just picked up a simple refurbished one that holds about 2k songs. That pretty much covers me wherever I go.

I have a 40GB Ipod with about 2,500 Song on it. Honestly I have not added any for a really long time, but I still enjoy having it. I no longer carry any cd's in my vehicles just because it is easier to carry the ipod. Is it any better than any other MP3 player in the world. I am sure it isnt. I actually like to use the windows media software a lot more that apples itunes.

You can put any music you'd like on an iPod (barring a few music codecs/formats such as FLAC and OGG Vorbis) anyway, iPod's are fine for what they are...mp3 players.

btw...if you read reviews and look at output rates, the new video iPods, and the nano blow any creative player out of the water...

Ive had only creative mp3 players from a creative zen 5 gig micro to a nomad jukebox 40 gigger.
I miss my 40 gig one, i let a buddy "borrow" it.
