I was wondering how many of us go to these PGA Tour Events. So in the intrest of those who dont why dont we get pictures of the events from those who went

You and I will have to go to Doral next year. Do they LET you take cameras on the course without a press credential?

They do during practice rounds (mon - wed) depending on the tourney.

Press credentials are pretty easy to get and I'll tell you the secret which I discovered by accident.....just apply for them.

I live in CT where they have had the GHO since the 50's. One day I went to the tournament website, found the link for "media" and filled out the application (this is key) using my website as the media outlet. I was easily 2 months past the deadline to submit the app but I got a call from them the next day and they offered me parking and directions to the media tent for to take my pic for the press pass (behind the ropes)...It freaked me out, I expected no response at all.

We also used this to gain press credentials to the Dubai Classic last year, worked like a charm.

The only thing is some of the tournament websites have no obvious media link so you'll have to call or email for info.

I expect you'll be able to get in on a press pass at most events, majors will probably be much more difficult if not impossible.
