THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - Tiger Woods is a gracious tournament host, at least until the tournament gets started.

Woods continued to show midseason form at the end of the year with a 10-under 62 on Friday, setting the course record at Sherwood Country Club and building a four-shot lead over Jim Furyk in the Target World Challenge.

Playing for the first time in 10 weeks, Woods looked sharp as ever. He stretched his lead with a couple of long putts, one of them for eagle on the par-5 11th, and finished his record round with an 9-iron into 6 feet on the final hole that brought the fans to their feet.

was there Wednesday for business reasons. Had press access (please don't ask why)...but anyway - then Marcie, the Director of Operations for Tigress's foundation, gave me Club House access all weekend. I'll be there again tomorrow for the tournament and a VIP dinner tomorrow night, but probably not sunday. I'll take a couple snap shots and upload 'em probably by monday. No I will not follow Tigress...I followed Vijay for a bit on Wednesday and will probably follow Padraig Harrington on Saturday.

I'm watching Tiger on the 18th green as i type and just seen his amazing eagle on 17. That man is something else! Will there be anyone to touch him in the next 10 years? I doubt it!
