Chad Campbell

DAVE SENKO: Chad, thanks for joining us. Just quick we'll get some questions. Just before we do, if you just give us a quick recap. 3 over on the front and made a good run in the back and --

CHAD CAMPBELL: Yeah. Didn't get off to a great start. Felt like I hit the ball better today than yesterday, which is funny. That's why this game is crazy.

You know, hit a couple poor drives on the front-9 and kind of had some weird lies in the bunker and hit really poor shots from there. I was pretty proud of myself the way I fought back on the back-9. At least gave myself a chance to win. I wish I could have hit a few better iron shots coming down the stretch. It didn't work out.

Fred Couples

Q. Freddie, great weekend and a good finish. Clean card today, too, with a 66?

FRED COUPLES: I had a very good round. As you know, last 9 I played yesterday was 7-under and went out today with the idea of trying to continue that, and I did. And it's a very good course. I felt pretty comfortable.

You know, I certainly wasn't near the lead. I think I started 7, 8 shots back. I knew if I had a good round, I could finish in the Top-10. That's what I was striving for. The back-9 I just kept birdieing holes and parred 17 and 18, which I feel like birdies. Two of the hardest holes you're going to have to play.

Native Texan Wagner breaks through in Houston

HUMBLE, Texas (AP) -- Johnson Wagner was watching highlights from the 2002 Masters late Saturday night, and his wife scolded him for it.

Now, he has the chance to create some Augusta National moments of his own.

Dramatic win, trip to Masters hasn't sunk in for Wagner

HUMBLE, Texas -- He can't wait to skip balls across the water at 16 at Augusta National.

Or play in Wednesday's Par-3 Contest.

Or whap one onto a par-5 and give himself a chance to take home a little crystal.

Johnson Wagner, the man with two last names, played his way into the Masters and onto golf's next level Sunday afternoon at Redstone's Tournament Course. He hit big-time shots. He made clutch putts. He lost his course record to Adam Scott in the opening round, then grabbed a share of the new one later that day. He led wire-to-wire.

But most of all, he remembered to breathe.

And he never got ahead of himself.

Johnson Wagner

DOUG MILNE: All right. Well, Johnson, I feel like you've spent almost as much time in here as you have on the golf course this week. Congratulations, 2008 Shell Houston Open. With the win, you are headed to Augusta and you pick up 4500 points in the FedExCup race. That moves you up to 1st for the year so far. Obviously overwhelming but an incredible feeling. Share some of your thoughts.

Pat Perez

Q. Pat, didn't leave much meat on the bone out there today, although you say it could have been lower?

PEREZ: Yeah. I hit it in the water on 6 and made bogey there. I had a stretch of 11, 12, and missed one from 6 feet. Missed a 10-footer on 11. Rolled it right up for an eagle on 13. 15 feet and, you know, there were a couple -- you know, it was a good day. I made a couple long one, but it's fine.

Q. I'm going to say 8-under qualifies as a very good day. Was there any indication this round was coming in?

PEREZ: No.
