I like a heavier putter too. I feel like it keeps my stroke on line better.

To tell a stupid story on myself... I bought a Nike belly putter via ebay and when I got it, I shortened it to 36" so I could use it normally, but it would be heavier. Well... I accomplished what I wanted except the lines on top of the head are impossible to line up properly now. They were intended to be looked at from a particular angle and I disturbed the natural order of that putter's universe when I cut a foot off the shaft.

I still have it and sometimes I get this wild idea about bending the shaft to try getting the sight lines right, but it usually just sits in the closet sticking it's tongue out at me to remind me of some stupid things I've done.

I like a heavy putter...makes me feel in complete control of my take back and follow-through and helps with long range putts

Agreed... heavy putter is the way to go.

Which is why I need to get one My Teardrop semi-blade/semi mallet is good, but I just like a heavy putter. Light putters are too tough to guage speed with, IMO.

I haven't *bought* it yet, but I tested it @ a local pro shop on the putting green they have.. for a larger putter, the face has surprisingly good feel... comes back nice and straight, the alignment on it is perfect. First time I've used a putter with the center-aligned shaft, and I must say, I'm a believer now. Inside 6ft seems like a gimme when I was testing it.

I'd like to get one and use it for a whole round and see before I buy it, but after testing it, I'd shell out the cash for it outright then worry about seeing how much *more* I like it...
