| Callaway i-Trax Putter Anyone tried one of the Callaway i-Trax putters? I guess they have been discontinued, because some online places are blowing them out at around 1/2 what they used to cost. I just ordered a used one from Callaway Preowned, (my new best friends!), for $80... below the $99 from TGW or EWatts and much less than a lot of sellers on ebay. Without having ever seen one in the flesh, there's something about the look of it I like and once I bend it a little to fit my stance and weight it to be as heavy as I like...
Well, when it comes to putters, we constantly live in hope, don't we?

| I love CallawayPreowned! How's the putter doing?
I wish I would have known about the I-Trax sale... that would have been a great deal.

| I just got it yesterday and haven't used it except to putt on my bedroom carpet, which is a story in itself. What was odd about the putter I received is that the lie is very close to what I already need. Being as tall as I am, when I bend over as far as I do, the lie of the putter needs to be a bit flat. The fact that this one came like it was made for me, well, I hope it's a good omen. The weight is also very close to the Ironmaster I've used for a while too, so when I close my eyes, it's hard to tell which putter I'm holding. I'm going to play in about an hour and have it in the bag.
About the carpet, or putting on it... one of the teachers at work drew my name in the holiday gift exchange. She gave me an electric putting cup, the kind that shoots the ball back to you. While those aren't uncommon, this one has a little gopher, like in Caddyshack, who pops his head up and says all sort of goofy things to you when you make a putt.

| I have tried out this putter and the feel of it was very good but the thing that distracted me was the look...a wee bit ugly.

| Oddly enough, the look was what I prefered over a lot of the new putters. The one I got had only the 3 arrow alignment plate on top, not the 3 lines. I think I would have prefered the lines, but no sweat. I'm pretty happy with the putter all in all.

| Six weeks later, the iTrax is still one of my go to putters. The only shortcoming I've found is putting from the fringe. With the open areas in the putter head, I find myself catching the putter in the fringe sometimes, but I don't think I putt any better than I chip from some of those situations.
The other putter I'm using is an Oddysey White Hot #9, the right handed version of what Phil Mickelson uses. How's THAT for broad taste?
