I have nothing against Zara Phillips (although why anyone would name their child after a Citroen is beyond me) however, I think her horse probably deserves a bit of credit as well, she didn't do it alone. Maybe 'Sports Animal of the Year' next year too? After all Theo Walcott won 'Young SP of the Year' so it can't be too hard can it?

i didnt want theo walcott to win the young sporting player, i wanted the blind sprinter (cant remember her name ). I think that the top 3 all deserved it but i agree that her horse deserves credit aswell x

god who the hell were all those people. i hardly knew half of the nominees. How did monty Panesar or Ricky hatton not even get into the top three?. I agree with Darren Clarke, but i had never heard of the one who won it. Horse riding? wtf?

I'm pretty sure with the amount of £££££ invested in her, it would be hard to be rubbish. Best trainers, coaches, paddocks, horses etc.
Plus, is making horses look pretty really a sport?
