| Is This Site Dead????????? Come one folks you are letting this golf forum die a slow agonizing death. In the past 24 hours there has been 5 posts and I made 4 of them. Surely I am not the only one who has time during the day/evening to comment or post something of golfing interest?
Use it or lose it. Do you think the owners will continue to pay for web space if the site is not used? Do you think sponsors will continue to support a site if they are not getting any financially gains from it?
I enjoy coming to this site, but day after day there are no new posts. It is stale, and hardly worth visiting on most days.
END OF RANT |

| Yes I can be quiet dead sometime which is a pity, because i found this site is great, the things i have picked up and learnt from here has helped my game so much, and everybody seems to be willing to help and pass there knowlegde on to other to allow them to enjoy this great game. So i for one hope this site lives on and gets more active and more members.

There could be 10,000 members. The problem is there is only 4-5 regular posters. That makes for a very very boring forum.
To be honest, I feel part of the reason is this. This forum is trying to get members from all over the world. Which is a nice thing, however it leads to the fact that posters are spread out too far around the globe. Hence there doesn't seem to be as much interest in posting what is going on in your part of the world as you or someone else might feel no one cares.
I belong to a very well run and managed golf forum that is based out of Ottawa, Canada. The majority of the action on that site comes from members who live in and around the Ottawa area. They have met each other in person, they have played golf together. That alone helps forum participation.
The owner of the site is also a major contributor to the site. He keeps everyone up to date on current golf events and other stories surrounding golf. Members actually reply to those posts.
When I asked in a thread how many serious golfers there were on this site there was a reason for that thread. I was trying to see how many were serious and if so why would then not post. There were not many replies and the ones that did reply and said they were are the ones who post on a regular basis.
As I said, I enjoy this site but when I come here 3-4 times a day and see no action I wonder why bother? When I come here after 24 hours and see 2 new posts I wonder why? Where is everyone? GOLFING?
I am lucky to belong to the Ottawa Forum. Although Ottawa is a 6 hour drive for me I still feel I know some of those members. Plus there is always something going on there. From golf to humor, sports and just general chat. It is always lively.
Something has to be done, but one or two members can not do it alone. |

| yes i have notice that it is normally the same few posters, and thats all the seems to be keeping this site alive atm, this is the main golf forum i use its the best one that i've found in its lay out and its also user friendly. it would just be great to have more posters. on your thing about it being world wide i think this is a good thing because you get to hear about things that are not related to the way we play golf e.g changing your ball hardness depending on the wether like minus to zero conditons which I'd never play in. its a cold day here if you tee off and its about 10*celius, but anyway lets hope we can get some more regular posters

| this site has 0 motivation. It's sad because it's a pretty well designed site. If you notice I've stopped posting as much, because it sucks being the only one on the board - 80% of the time

Too bad, the site will die a slow painful death if this continues. |

| Exactly I totally agree with you guys. I remember if I wasn't on for a couple of days there would be a whole bunch of post for me to read. Now that I am back into golf again I check every few hours and there isn't a new reply or thread to be found.
