Tiger Woods has issued an ominous warning to his rivals by claiming that he is still improving.

And after winning a record sixth Buick Invitational, the world number one reiterated his belief that a Grand Slam of all four majors is within his grasp.

Woods, who won three of the four majors in 2000, said: "I'm hitting shots that I never could hit before, even in 2000. I'm actually hitting the ball better.

"Do I see it (the Grand Slam) as a possibility? I say 'yes'."

His eight-stroke victory at Torrey Pines sealed Woods's 62nd PGA Tour title, and his 16th in 32 starts since 2006.

The San Diego course will be the venue for this year's US Open, and the future looks bleak for the American's rivals.

Sure he is playing great golf, but it is going to take a miracle for him to take the grand slam. He can win the British easily if he plays ok, masters he is always good at but the US can be a bit hard with his driving accuraccy not best the best compared to some of the shorter hitters. The PGA wouldn't be that hard for him as he can shoot low quiet easily.

As for him hitting better shots, i personally don;t think he or anyone else can play much better than his 2000 run, the club and ball techniology is probably playing a small part in his improved shot making abilities.

Tiger Woods should own the US Open this year. It's at Torrey Pines of all places. Tiger Woods has won the past 4 Buick Invitationals at Torrey Pines. The Masters is always attainable for Tiger. The British Open is at Royal Birkdale. Tiger lost by 1 in 1998 the last time it was played there. Tiger could very easily win the 1st 3 majors. But, the PGA is at Oakland Hills. Tiger played decently at the Ryder Cup there in 2004. But not really that well (Team USA got floored). The PGA might give Tiger some problems. But, if he's won the 1st 3 majors, I don't see Oakland Hills stopping him. I'd personally pick him to take the Grand Slam this year. The stars are all aligned. I'd be surprised if he lost more than 5 times this year. Watch out PGA tour, Tiger's on the prowl!
