my parents are letting me get a new set but it has to be cheap becus i will probably grow out of it soon. i am thinking about getting the ovation 3 wood. is this a good club http://www.golfsmith.com/products/GP000091

note that i hit for accuracy and consistancy not for distance

How old / tall are you now and how quickly do you expect to grow?

At the end of the day there is no such thing as a bad club as long as you try before you buy.

Even the 'best' clubs can be useless for golfers if they dont suit their swing.

i am about 5 feet 6 inches and i am just hitting my growth spurt and i am 14 years old

Being 5ft 6 you are probably going to be buying a mens club anyway and not a shortened down version.

If it was me, I would choose a good club, the three wood I have in my bag has been in there for about 10 years or so.

The TaylorMade V-steel woods are nice thats what i have i htink their like 100$ now. easy to hit. ovation are okay i dont like the build

Accuracy and Consistency

Hey,

I have an Ovation 2 and I love it. I have never been a long hitter but if the O 3 is anything like the O 2 then I would recomend it. I find that with my O 2 it has improve those exact two elements of my game, consistency and accuracy off the tee.
