Background:

A Welsh golfer, Becky Morgan attended the University of North Carolina (Greensboro). While at university, she captured ten collegiate tournaments, was second-team All-American, and finished in the top ten of the NCAA Championship (1997). Her skills continued to develop throughout her Amateur career, seeing through membership on the Curtis Cup teams, (1998 & 2000), the Vagliano Trophy Team (1997& 1999), to the semifinals of the British Amateur Open (1997), and to second place in the British Strokeplay Championship (2000).

Professional Career Bio:

Morgan began her Rookie Year in 2001 with seasons both in Ladies European Tour and the LPGA. In the LET, she had four top-tens out of eight events. On the LPGA, her first top ten was a tie for 7th at the Longs Drug Challenge. For this finished she earned the “rookie of the year”. She played four events on the LET in 2002 (two top –ten finishes) and eighteen LPGA tournaments (one top-ten). Morgan had a career best LPGA finish in 2003 with a 2nd place at the ShopRite Classic. Her $1 million career earnings mark was crossed in 2004 at the Evian Masters and 2005 brought her a tie for 15th at the Weetabix British Open, as well as a tie for sixth at the first inaugural Women’s World Cup of Golf.
