Cobra latex driver

Just bought a cobra ltdx lh driver from 3 balls golf. Came looking brand new. I love the driver, but if I hit a ball even 1 dimple high on the face and it hits the groove where the face meets the top of the club it cuts the cover right off the ball. 3balls said I could return the club, but I love the club and really don’t want to return it. My question is did anyone else have this problem?

Very strange to hear that. I did a quick search and came up with really + reviews. Here's one and no mention of that issue (that review or anywhere).
