Background
Geoff Ogilvy is Australian, but royal golfing blood flows through his veins. He is a distant relative of Sir Angus Ogilvy, part of Britain's Royal Family. Scotland, the birthplace of “The Game” gives Ogilvy even more of a heritage – his family claims to be distant relatives of Scotland's famous and infamous Robert the Bruce. The young Ogilvy, like many others, showed promise by age seven. He played full-time amateur golf before turning pro. He current lives and trains in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Professional Career Bio:

In his first five seasons on the PGA Tour, he finished in the top 100 each time, with his first professional win coming in 2005 (Chrysler Classic). The following year, he defeated Davis Love III to win the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. His first major win came at the 2006 U.S. Open Championship, where he made pars to Phil Mickelson’s bogeys becoming the first Australian to win a major in 11 years (Steve Elkington, 1995). With this win, Ogilvy moved into the elite top ten rankings. He is currently ranked 7th.
