I just went to Bear Slide because they give a free round for your birthday. It was great. The greens were cut short, the grass was healthy, and the greens rolled true...and rolled and rolled.) Actually I like fast true greens.

I highly recommend the course. It is worth driving 2-3 hours for. Their signs said it was 7th best in Indiana. I liked it better than the Brickyard which was more money!

It is certainly a strategy course...but even though there is a penalty for being off line it is usually not a disaster. You just might not get home in regulation.

I have heard that Bear Slide was a nice place.I have not payed there yet.I live southwest of Indy. Most of the places that I play are on the west or southwest side of Indy.I usually play at Eagle Pines in Mooresvile. It is a nice course for a very resonable price..
