Jeong Jang is a South Korean player who qualified for the tour on her first attempt. Early in her career, she won the 1997 Korean Women’s Open and the 1998 Korean Women’s Amateur. With 9 top ten finishes in 2004 and 15 top tens in 2005, Jang is quickly becoming a rising start on the LPGA. The 2005 season also had Jang leading the tour with 331 birdies and crossing the $2 million mark in earnings with a fourth place finish at the Wegmans Rochester.
