Background & Professional Career Bio:

Having achieved a championship reputation at the age of 15, Luke Donald left the comforts of his home courses behind (Hazlemere and Beaconfields) for a golf scholarship at Northwestern University. In 1999, he won the NCAA Men’s Individual Championship, beating the record previously held by Tiger Woods. Though he turned pro in 2001, it was his 2004 season that gave him a push toward the top ten, winning the Omega European Masters and the Scandinavian Masters (European Tour), was a member of the championship Ryder Cup team and won the WGC-World Cup for England with fellow team member, Paul Casey. Donald didn’t win in 2005, but a tie for 3rd place at the Masters solidified his efforts to stay notable. His 2006 win at the Honda Classic saw him break the top ten- he is currently ranked 14th on the money list and is ranked 28th on the Order of Merit. Donald was an Art major in college and has since donated his work for charitable auctions.
