So I am about a 17 handicap...I looked at some new irons. any suggestions?? here are my top choices that I tried out at the stores

Taylormade Burner 1.0

Callaway Diablo Edge

Callaway RAZR X (not tour)

Cobra S3 Max

Anything would help...I swing around 85 mph and tend to just get baby divots so maybe a lower sweet spot might help??

trail and error normally works well try and find some demo clubs and see what feels good for you and make sure you get fitted by a pro. I haven't hit any of those clubs but I did try some talors when i brought my club and they did feel nice. they are all nice clubs it just what fits you time to spend sometime in the nets or the range good luck

I am not as low on my handicap as you are...but we are in the same neighborhood. I hit most of those. I loved the S3's and the Diablo's. I also hit the WilsonStaff Di11's and the Adams A7OS'. When I started I was horrendous and was grateful that I could hit them. The Adam's went the straightest and furthest followed by the WilsonStaff and then the Diablo's and finally the Cobra S3's.

I concur that you should just go hit them. Here in Sacramento Haggin Oaks allows you to try out any club(s) you want for free. Maybe find someplace in your area that will let you do the same. :)

I would suggest that you should buy Callaway XR or Cleveland CG Black CB. Rest is your choice man.I have used them and they have good ball speed and that too with accuracy and that is what you look in this category...
