Of course the racial issue will be brought up. So eventually the program will have to do it. Unless the girls aren't as competitive as the men, I don't think it will happen.
If men and women played at an equal skill level, that'd be great. But, men are better than women at golf. That's not meant to be offensive to any women, but to see it any other way would be ignorant. Also, by combining the tours, there would only be half the events, half the winners, and half the excitement we get from the seperated tours as it is.I think some people in this thread need to open their eyes a little. Yes some sports should not combine men and women into one league, but golf is a different type of sport.
In games like tennis we see men and women playing together all the time. The same should apply for golf. Golf is a sport where physical contact is not required and anyone can play who can swing a club. If Annika can outswing some men, why can't she compete?
This isn't the 50s guys.
